Description

The  objective of the Study is to identify and prioritize the essential  infrastructure that would support Resilient, Inclusive, and Sustainable  tourism, within the framework of updated or duly formulated Local Tourism  Infrastructure Development Plans (LTIDP) for seven Tourism Development  Clusters (i.e., El Nido, Coron, Bohol, Siquijor, Siargao, Davao City, Island  Garden City of Samal).

The LTIDPs for the 7 Study Areas consists of a multi-term tourism infrastructure  plan.  The infrastructure considered in  this plan range from transportation systems, water supply, sanitation and  sewerage, markets for local enterprises, solid waste management, and  renewable energy.

The project also provided Pre-feasibility Studies for at least 2  infrastructure projects per Tourism Study Area. The infrastructure projects  in the LTIDP and the two identified for Pre-FS were identified by  stakeholders in the tourism industry as part of the participatory planning  approach adopted for the project. Pre-feasibility studies for selected infrastructure projects required preliminary architectural and engineering  design with cost estimates and assessment of financial feasibility, social  acceptability, and environmental impact.
